If you are looking for a carpenter, a gardener or the like, then
PINBOARD is not for you. We are an IT services company.
In case you are looking for a knowledgable windows administrator,
a highly skilled web developer, a top notch oracle DBA or a C programmer,
please look further, this is not the place you will find one.
Should you be looking for a linux or unix administrator, advisor,
consultant, hacker, implementor with excellent scripting
skills who also has a good technical understanding of various internet
related protocols and services like SMTP, HTTP, DNS, proxy, etc. and
does know a thing or two about security, in addition to being used to
work with open source products, then you hit the right place,
because this is exactly what we do and what we do well.
PINBOARD is mainly doing consulting, implementation and administration in
linux and unix related projects for companies of different sizes
and types. Among our clients are physicians, internet service
providers, manufacturers, banks; one woman offices, national giants
and multinationals alike.

- In March PINBOARD becomes the first company besides RedHat able to
offer linux services in Japan and Switzerland at RHCA (Red Hat
Certified Architect) and RHCSS (Red Hat Certified Security
Specialist) level.

- Consulting for unix and internet technologies as well as
unix server maintenance is offered on a worldwide scale.
- 1997
- Due to decreasing interest because of the internet boom, BBS service
and free internet fax service for fax messages to Japan are no
longer offered.
- 1997
- As margins are melting tremendously, hardware sales are no longer
offered.

- Using top connectivity, web hosting is offered, along with HTML and
CGI programming.

- The first UUCP gateway for ccMail capable of handling Japanese is
published

- The importance of the internet is recognized and PINBOARD BBS
is one of the early adopters of internet email and usenet in Japan,
long before the internet boom really starts.

- PINBOARD is founded in May 1994, and offers
a BBS service along with computer services such as sales, setup, repair
and consulting.
